A permanent home for my Instagram Recipes
Breakfast with flowers is not my first blog; I started healthnut.berlin in April 2016 to share my favorite oil-free plant-based recipes. I can still remember my excitement when I launched. After the first excitement had subsided, I was a kind of disappointed. There were visitors on my blog, but they didn’t talk to me. I felt lonely. I exchanged ideas with my students (I am a teacher at a vocational school), and they said “You have to be on Instagram.”
Until then I had no idea what this Instagram was about, but I gave it a try. I started my Instagram feed at the Beginning of Juni, 2016. I don’t know why, but I started to post my breakfast bowls on a daily base, mostly including the recipe. I got used to decorate my bowls with edible flowers from our garden. I also included the statement “Breakfast with flowers” into my profile shortly after I started to post my pictures.
And I fell in love with this platform. Everyone (well, almost everyone) on Instagram is so kind. No harsh word, no insults, no thumbs down. Only lovely comments and likes. It’s such positive place, especially compared to Facebook. I met so many beautiful people there.
Over the time of one year, I developed quite a lot of recipes, but they got lost in my feed. So I decided to create a permanent home for these recipes, and to call it “Breakfast with Flowers” (what else 😅).
I started working on this blog in May 2017, but it took me almost two months to launch. Mainly because I wanted to create a certain amount of content around the topics Breakfast and Edible Flowers – and not only sharing recipes. And working full-time and posting on Instagram on a daily base AND creating decent content requires a lot of time. Language issues were another hurdle. I double-checked every single page and post with Grammarly, a time-consuming task.
But today – on the 2nd of July – the blog “Breakfast with Flowers” is born. Hope you enjoy your visit! Btw, don’t hesitate to leave a comment if you like my recipes or if you have any question. I would love to hear from you 😘😘.
