Raspberry Nice Cream with a decadent drizzle of Dark Chocolate
To be honest, I am not sure if it’s appropriate to call this Raspberry Nice Cream a “recipe.” It has only two ingredients and a few toppings. But anyway, there has to be at least a rough guideline how to do it. Just in case you are not familiar with my Basic Nice Cream Recipe, Nice Cream is made of frozen bananas and other fruits.
You have to use overripe bananas, slice them to the thickness of a finger and freeze them in a single layer. This step is important because it’s nearly impossible to blend a huge lump of banana chunks. For this Raspberry Nice Cream, you will need about three frozen overripe sliced bananas, a cup of frozen raspberries, a piece of dark chocolate and a few edible flowers. I used pomegranate seeds as a topping, but you can use any fruit.
The violet flower in the upper left corner is a Yarrow. They grow everywhere in our garden. Yarrows have a rather distinct taste, and I would recommend using ist only for decoration, drying it afterward and add it to tea. It’s relieving when you have a cold or flu, or when you are suffering from fever or cramps.
Nice Cream is melting relatively quickly, so you better eat it ASAP. And don’t play around with flowers, like me 🙈. When I made this Nice Cream last summer, I only wanted to decorate my bowl with autumn asters, but then I couldn’t stop myself. In the end, a face looked back at me. My Nice Cream was rather a Smoothie Bowl by then, but I didn’t care.
And here is another example of decoration gone wild… Strawberry Nice Cream served in a pineapple boat and topped with frozen strawberries, blueberries from the garden and edible flowers. I am so in love with those purple asters! I found them randomly in a flower shop nearby, but unfortunately they withered before I was able to plant them. It’s so hard to grow asters yourself, my seeds just never rise. Any tips or tricks??

- Blend frozen banana chunks and frozen raspberries in a high speed blender until very smooth.
- In the meanwhile, melt dark chocolate.
- Transfer raspberry nice cream to a bowl and drizzle with melted chocolate.
- Top with pomegranate seeds and rose petals.
Obviously, I couldn’t decide which rose to use for decorating, that’s why I made two different pictures, one with the pink rose and one with the dusty pink rose. Which one do you like more? Drop your comment below, I’d love to hear from you 😘😘.
